(you receive a $30 discount for taking both Level 1 and Level 2 in this same 8-week session.)

 General Info:
Show up 15 minutes early for the first class so you will have time to register, and meet others in the class.  I accept cash or check (no credit cards), payable at the first class.
The classes are an hour long - we start with stretching, then go into isolations where we practice moving certain parts of our bodies without moving others (hip circles, rib cage circles, hip slides, shoulders, snaky arms, etc.) - then basic moves and combinations.  Then we work on a routine, that we add on to every week, so that by the end of the 8 week session you have a complete routine that you can practice at home or show to your family and friends.  It is a very upbeat class - lots of fun!!!
Wear comfortable clothes that you would normally exercise in.  Skirts are generally not good; unitards, yoga clothes, etc. are very good.  If you have a hip scarf and dance shoes, bring them, however, neither are necessary.  I also sell hip scarves in class and some music.
Learn to Belly Dance with Alexandra Volume 1 (belly dance instructional video and DVD) - on sale for 19.95 (VHS) or 24.95 (DVD).  These are available in class or off of my website.

PACIFIC NORTHWEST SCHOOL OF MUSIC

Suzuki Preschool Music Program

The Suzuki preschool classes are especially designed for children 3 and 4 years of age, together with their parents. Each session lasts for 8 weeks, and meets once a week for 45-55 minutes. Parents and children are introduced to the Suzuki method and philosophy, basic music concepts such as rhythm, ear training and music appreciation, and exposed to various instruments taught by the school.

Suzuki Talent Education

We offer private instruction in flute, violin, viola, cello, piano and guitar, together with group lessons and special performance events. The curriculum ranges from the most elementary compositions through classical sonatas and concertos. A special emphasis is placed on the development of good listening skills, technical facility and individual musicality.

Young Artist Division

The young artist division offers its students a traditional program of musical studies and performance preparation in the advanced literature. It is a complete program designed for students who are taking at least one one-hour private lesson a week and who are participating in the concerto performance experience.
